Lexie and Raiden’s engagement session was set to take place outside on a clear summer’s evening. I watched the weather all week looking forward to a sunny session. The morning of the session my heart sank as the forecast predicted a rainy evening. Normally I would reschedule, but in this case it was not an option. The groom-to-be was leaving the state the next morning to return to his post across the country. He would not be back till the wedding day. So I prayed for a miracle. Instead of clearing up the rain, God gave me something completely unexpected – a storage barn. Lexie and Raiden weathered the storm as I took pictures in her family’s barn. Turns out the wood, metal, and tools made a perfect rustic backdrop for love. Eventually, as the sky was darkening the rain stopped. Lexie put on a gorgeous flower crown (that she made herself!!) and we captured the last bits of sunset light. Turns out the rain was a blessing in disguise.
